As I was going through the Year O Graphy paper pack by Simple Stories I kept seeing calendars and mini books. So I gave in and made just that. First up I made a magnetic wall calendar. I had some sheet metal that my brother mitered the edges. But this project could easily be done on the back of and inexpensive cookie sheet. And I would recommend you use that because it would be easier to hang on the wall. The size I have here is 12 X 18. I covered the front side with heavy duty tape any kind will do (red tape,sookwang)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXW3EZltGpwa5wF-ft0d8c1_kn2ZPVCOREyc3lrGzyCnHnFN9iHDjNxAkAIIwNDumeV4KjystvpK34sM1qDPLJJxeH7sKqeaKKh5iU9tHiZE0zxMetRVVDAS-QtsLZqBTRFTurEy5Ys6M/s1600/IMG_1916.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXW3EZltGpwa5wF-ft0d8c1_kn2ZPVCOREyc3lrGzyCnHnFN9iHDjNxAkAIIwNDumeV4KjystvpK34sM1qDPLJJxeH7sKqeaKKh5iU9tHiZE0zxMetRVVDAS-QtsLZqBTRFTurEy5Ys6M/s1600/IMG_1916.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The lined paper was just right for the base of the calender. Then I cut strips that would cover the rest of the metal. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbSWE7jjLT5C7I1azswm5ZKZAucj3F7sIO-fg1rG_0Aui4KamnE0-TIftSkTR1cI9FrQ5RoI7trn0NqpGBrw5tKHWUR981Byy2p6MQCq7u9Ap0_DeGeyXXibk1u3Z4dqGdQkl9MxHIbkI/s1600/IMG_1917.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbSWE7jjLT5C7I1azswm5ZKZAucj3F7sIO-fg1rG_0Aui4KamnE0-TIftSkTR1cI9FrQ5RoI7trn0NqpGBrw5tKHWUR981Byy2p6MQCq7u9Ap0_DeGeyXXibk1u3Z4dqGdQkl9MxHIbkI/s1600/IMG_1917.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmFYscUJqqy6G2GPFo3mYYGlERedVxtfpZGgvGhRZRZQfzMGFvF4yn03I8HNVBAcMoK-fAfiOBS2RuyRdGOodlPvDMjjjEnEpDbWLU28kMJxRnrtQmXKTVDZL5qOLt5KG5OWfO-aF_eGw/s1600/IMG_1918.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmFYscUJqqy6G2GPFo3mYYGlERedVxtfpZGgvGhRZRZQfzMGFvF4yn03I8HNVBAcMoK-fAfiOBS2RuyRdGOodlPvDMjjjEnEpDbWLU28kMJxRnrtQmXKTVDZL5qOLt5KG5OWfO-aF_eGw/s1600/IMG_1918.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with the ruler strip first then added the lined paper and to cover the seam I put the phrase strip on top of the two.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9NuUR2S-oBzFQmF9UggisjWkhghyLauqZ2yln6P8qNLaRAskTj-A8hODwI2d2716m1lzl4V_l3CgP9k1VDWyaW0Ztn0hqbnJzQGDCMt-EO8gNj8Q3UnCKIY_GIXKDCS47dkMebaN5GeE/s1600/IMG_1920.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9NuUR2S-oBzFQmF9UggisjWkhghyLauqZ2yln6P8qNLaRAskTj-A8hODwI2d2716m1lzl4V_l3CgP9k1VDWyaW0Ztn0hqbnJzQGDCMt-EO8gNj8Q3UnCKIY_GIXKDCS47dkMebaN5GeE/s1600/IMG_1920.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I put the adhesive tape on the back side of a strip of paper and used my 1/2 in punch to punch out a circle. Peel off the tape and adhere it to a button magnet. Then top it off with a circle number sticker. You will get 1-31 with the sticker page. I did the same processes (but with sheet magnets) for the months of the year and for saying like mothers day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDwZjv9K2aH6BuPs9dUZVedjMcxPGqMEe-4SFQfqU4z2WenSmMXp0bDWbq0VhjvRKOkKfryNyKdbkJ02c3ZRkp62lap66sEHgu-MAsOVG1_oeeMZqOxWnAOFNS6CEqgO62_CTrIDg_Zp8/s1600/IMG_1926.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDwZjv9K2aH6BuPs9dUZVedjMcxPGqMEe-4SFQfqU4z2WenSmMXp0bDWbq0VhjvRKOkKfryNyKdbkJ02c3ZRkp62lap66sEHgu-MAsOVG1_oeeMZqOxWnAOFNS6CEqgO62_CTrIDg_Zp8/s1600/IMG_1926.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ops I forgot to tell you about the strip of paper with with days of the weeks. The magnets can be moved for each month. I think this would be great for kids to learn the months of the year and days of the week.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkjxLLaBFK82nGKzWhSEoOgwGnU9U9IgZfywLv3D8x_bKsT8NV1DwhHKEB2C_WTHAC3ZBvVOhGNQ2CBjTAeshLkkjP0BlZDy4iiwDFLUKqB-cSvNGQhAQTI1i9iBmOPj3aAD1cr_-j8EI/s1600/IMG_1934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkjxLLaBFK82nGKzWhSEoOgwGnU9U9IgZfywLv3D8x_bKsT8NV1DwhHKEB2C_WTHAC3ZBvVOhGNQ2CBjTAeshLkkjP0BlZDy4iiwDFLUKqB-cSvNGQhAQTI1i9iBmOPj3aAD1cr_-j8EI/s1600/IMG_1934.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And you can keep the leftover magnets on the back. Just a side note the sheet magnets I used was to thin and had a hard time staying on the front of the calendar. I would recommend you not buy them at wall mart like I did. And as always this project will be on display at Paper Forest Boutique in Washington Square Washington,IL. So stop by and pick up Simple Stories Year O Graphy for your next project. </div>

Needless to say my family has had a busy month, with birthdays, Easter, and my son coming home for a long weekend. I have a lot to do to catch-up.<br />
<br />
Mary at the Paper Forest gave me a packet from Prima Marketing called Stationer's Desk. I fell in love with this paper immediately,It has a vary vintage look and feel to it. My paper obsession started to kick in and I was having a hard time thinking of what to make. I have a confession to make, I love to hoard paper!!! If I find something I love I can't part with it. This is probably the real reason I am late on my projects.<br />
<br />
My first project is a 3D craft. I made a paper covered tin to hold flowers in for Mothers day. I thought this would be an easy project for kids to help with. It's a vary basic project. Plus with Earth day this last week I felt the need to use something that I would normally throwaway.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxFXY28f4YiCyOFhuQ2EE8p0tS-eIWkWn2mLiNcTh-YzWjQ3qMu1zEuuMUsyKqrslS5Jzu932qIqBNph-QNfFgS42Z0gQSWHUcCsdlaZaDDm43f2UycSx2J657DMm3Efg6FyxLK-crqkg/s1600/IMG_1792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxFXY28f4YiCyOFhuQ2EE8p0tS-eIWkWn2mLiNcTh-YzWjQ3qMu1zEuuMUsyKqrslS5Jzu932qIqBNph-QNfFgS42Z0gQSWHUcCsdlaZaDDm43f2UycSx2J657DMm3Efg6FyxLK-crqkg/s1600/IMG_1792.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with this can blueberry filling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my favorite part. I used my free sample of paint from lowes then mixed some grout sand and painted the can.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I picked some paper that would work well with the paint. If you want to make this a real recycled project then you could use some scraps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have several different paper layers and I used the red sticky tape for my adhesive.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the back of the can I used some leftover butterfly's from my card that I made. That should be my next post.</div>

For these two layouts I used pictures from last summer. I found a recipe for lemon cake on pintrest. My mom loves all things lemony so I made this cake for her birthday. Then I shared pictures on instagram. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ1Pxuc1zk3AnoITduwm6jRuuOe0ZO51we6crCgLfuYxl6zR5CaR79uuVX8Z36k-698wQdEzKJfN3UfQitLQrBvVaDQiZ99GDhqP7meq0R6YkjtsajhAsGi2yUX3yQ_GsJCXMV6dH4hFs/s1600/IMG_1724.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ1Pxuc1zk3AnoITduwm6jRuuOe0ZO51we6crCgLfuYxl6zR5CaR79uuVX8Z36k-698wQdEzKJfN3UfQitLQrBvVaDQiZ99GDhqP7meq0R6YkjtsajhAsGi2yUX3yQ_GsJCXMV6dH4hFs/s1600/IMG_1724.JPG" height="212" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxMPhGsaz9KDp9uZUpJPLQuSgx6LUZcoUtXql_KH8Fxdd_RGFLe3gTy9jwPth7byTFGV-gfnVT7NbOTvTLiV6fz0BWwFgkQjOvMcLwweAU7w6lFnR0R6F-6Qdm4U_z4rgz5Gj03_PiVPE/s1600/IMG_1726.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxMPhGsaz9KDp9uZUpJPLQuSgx6LUZcoUtXql_KH8Fxdd_RGFLe3gTy9jwPth7byTFGV-gfnVT7NbOTvTLiV6fz0BWwFgkQjOvMcLwweAU7w6lFnR0R6F-6Qdm4U_z4rgz5Gj03_PiVPE/s1600/IMG_1726.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So the story for the second layout is about how my husband dropped the cake as we arrived at the park. You might say we were not having a good day. So when I saw the die cuts that said, He Said and She Said and Status Update, I knew It would fit this layout perfectly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrxyX8xGZMQvzUMMLi0DmZuTZ54uNbS1sJXlkO6eXQfaSf0gTK1arjR0gm460CoYC3SxQlqjVZTocdWmH00yMSn0i6ChnAdiIdBGsKugpaK5hqLntl4XbMy0jWrdSwUFajB2S5A60zRRs/s1600/IMG_1727.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrxyX8xGZMQvzUMMLi0DmZuTZ54uNbS1sJXlkO6eXQfaSf0gTK1arjR0gm460CoYC3SxQlqjVZTocdWmH00yMSn0i6ChnAdiIdBGsKugpaK5hqLntl4XbMy0jWrdSwUFajB2S5A60zRRs/s1600/IMG_1727.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I love layering this paper with diecuts and stickers. I added grommets to the corners and sprinkles to accentuate the status update and life is too short. Above I used the sprinkles in the bulls eye with the thumb's down.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn1SrtAHA8RmmO79_BCwPGXYx7FbFZfg_LgovSf7ikkrSt_t6XJn3Oc1OiKZxScca-__gxfuvQtuyXndfQM2shDCdSggJ8U_EFYKJ0AMti7GIzo1w7P7KpPomwIDSPkSAVE_ihySjic4A/s1600/IMG_1723.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn1SrtAHA8RmmO79_BCwPGXYx7FbFZfg_LgovSf7ikkrSt_t6XJn3Oc1OiKZxScca-__gxfuvQtuyXndfQM2shDCdSggJ8U_EFYKJ0AMti7GIzo1w7P7KpPomwIDSPkSAVE_ihySjic4A/s1600/IMG_1723.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I used allot of pop dots to add more dimension. You can add pop dots to diecuts and diecut stickers. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
If you would like to have a first hand look at these projects, they are on display at Paper Forest Scrapbooking boutique in Washington Plaza. Please stop by and say Kristi sent you. My next project for the design team is a paper pack from Prima Marketing called Stationers Desk. Here is a sneak peek of a mini album I am working on.<br />

The colors in this collection are right on trend for 2014 and are easy to find the same colors in your or your child's closet. And that will make scrapbooking a breeze. Now onto my altered art. I purchased a plain black picture frame from Wal-Mart.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUyRsTnmZIhfJ4FH2KkHhWTWgUAPhXFNddOmc7388ByCUnd4mdlJuVyZOwxULPwMB7OAS0iquD5N87kacgqZ39B398JGG4IfvHfvVnyOQ1B5Ep7PcpHzH-WnYuGjdsDrp0VdKTR51p9o/s1600/IMG_1684.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUyRsTnmZIhfJ4FH2KkHhWTWgUAPhXFNddOmc7388ByCUnd4mdlJuVyZOwxULPwMB7OAS0iquD5N87kacgqZ39B398JGG4IfvHfvVnyOQ1B5Ep7PcpHzH-WnYuGjdsDrp0VdKTR51p9o/s1600/IMG_1684.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I painted the sides of the black frame with Tim Holtz Distressed Paint Sky Blue.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAYiqHKzrTG5i_LLYO6JmGCYyB9wPEX7d424eIckzDzhaOFAHcSutOsO841uiUababdcOUu_evkEvUJpYHQKx3HasPyGssmHSsqSr46jz7LBwdnkXLY4rfGHcA-z7msYMYLXMwy-mlJbc/s1600/IMG_1720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAYiqHKzrTG5i_LLYO6JmGCYyB9wPEX7d424eIckzDzhaOFAHcSutOsO841uiUababdcOUu_evkEvUJpYHQKx3HasPyGssmHSsqSr46jz7LBwdnkXLY4rfGHcA-z7msYMYLXMwy-mlJbc/s1600/IMG_1720.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the front I used red tacky tape and covered the whole front side. You could use and heavy duty tape or wet glue. Then I cut a matching color cardstock from the Bazzill paper collection, and matted the front .</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIAQN5m0W3W24LEo7cWe48bsxdjzHwzW7CdyvUw2Dh5yzWLDqZ3pSDjxFBI7CTw4D2WDbc0cbC9Ty9Jf1QLHQDBiTzyXcauI5-OjvUBAgkx9GO7YnlBqktUOqz3v2L4hCEei02E18UTw8/s1600/IMG_1685.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIAQN5m0W3W24LEo7cWe48bsxdjzHwzW7CdyvUw2Dh5yzWLDqZ3pSDjxFBI7CTw4D2WDbc0cbC9Ty9Jf1QLHQDBiTzyXcauI5-OjvUBAgkx9GO7YnlBqktUOqz3v2L4hCEei02E18UTw8/s1600/IMG_1685.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Paper Forest carries the entire line of Bazzill Cardstock. You must stop by and see their wall of color. Do you remember the circle paper that I mention in my last post called 1 part app.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirM-pcRPnBdj9a-BWnxS6vQ6jlW1o5mw1J_uW8emql7zgNynyKMOJaO56JrJ7HTpqBMRUat6U1fklV09KX20gcpZnydDZRbgBo5DVtzIZJk2uJ2lPs1pdvGXP1VN9A4t6-SOXfPirTm3M/s1600/IMG_1683.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirM-pcRPnBdj9a-BWnxS6vQ6jlW1o5mw1J_uW8emql7zgNynyKMOJaO56JrJ7HTpqBMRUat6U1fklV09KX20gcpZnydDZRbgBo5DVtzIZJk2uJ2lPs1pdvGXP1VN9A4t6-SOXfPirTm3M/s1600/IMG_1683.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a can of spray glitter that I purchased from my last trip to the Scrapbook Expo. This is perfect for me because I am addicted to all things glittery (or distracted by) With this can you can make any paper a glittery piece of art. So you might understand that after this glittery step I forgot to take a picture of covering the matting.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Each month I will be making one card, one altered art, and two 12x12 layouts.<br />
For the month of March I was given a paper pack from Jillibean Soup called Spicy Social Soup. This Paper depicts everything from social media. You can take a look at the paper <a href="http://jillibeansoup.typepad.com/my_weblog/2014/01/yet-another-sneak-introducing-spicy-social-soup.html" target="_blank">here</a>. This was a far cry from my normal lace and flowers that I like. But the more I worked with it the more I liked it. I especially Liked the paper 1 part app. This paper is full of one inch circles of different designs<br />
.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig4t3OO_9wCMlBbhRvcqZ_RRMrlGtdo3IgfxFAo4g62Qx7kbk59MAWuSziE_xPOKESe6hNzMprGITUd7neL9AeW7eUMWR2ly3p0ODYotcoZ57ngJ6HD_ND73gFjwoTqa7o9dEpWfNuqE8/s1600/IMG_1682.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig4t3OO_9wCMlBbhRvcqZ_RRMrlGtdo3IgfxFAo4g62Qx7kbk59MAWuSziE_xPOKESe6hNzMprGITUd7neL9AeW7eUMWR2ly3p0ODYotcoZ57ngJ6HD_ND73gFjwoTqa7o9dEpWfNuqE8/s1600/IMG_1682.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I am going to share with you the card I made. It is a 5x5 square card and can be used as a birthday, engagement, or any other special occasion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOLAKjlr886RI-9y7eR67aqsOPQ32y4bP_A5lmqJEKm3BWtYH8OUtohpDLC9rX8pKFZDyD7UXBln55fKe7jqOW1VEveVWw6iud2HE3CHd2smismJKeq8VDmBJw9JOqu2cgNMeCeQxIu7E/s1600/IMG_1687.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOLAKjlr886RI-9y7eR67aqsOPQ32y4bP_A5lmqJEKm3BWtYH8OUtohpDLC9rX8pKFZDyD7UXBln55fKe7jqOW1VEveVWw6iud2HE3CHd2smismJKeq8VDmBJw9JOqu2cgNMeCeQxIu7E/s1600/IMG_1687.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut green cardstock at 4x4 and used my circle punch to cut out the corners.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1-Z4JiszSUtOLzPo6kHBN5_znp_HSlvf_Uoo3FbyUo2eNOLR1f296uF98uEyXxp-ysHb982OSZ6WipCHZwSTtHoUyimMIUpTxTJJVsJ-U5UIHKRmeh_u0dVYES90rHB8_ncaxl4Kx0tg/s1600/IMG_1686.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1-Z4JiszSUtOLzPo6kHBN5_znp_HSlvf_Uoo3FbyUo2eNOLR1f296uF98uEyXxp-ysHb982OSZ6WipCHZwSTtHoUyimMIUpTxTJJVsJ-U5UIHKRmeh_u0dVYES90rHB8_ncaxl4Kx0tg/s1600/IMG_1686.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
one inch stripes of paper cut at different lengths. Then I used the We Are Memory Keepers envelop punch board to crate a banner effect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsmF8iGARlDr-FdyjfFTsRGEdmOz6maDfPvDEIv-Aprsstuj5IuQjlK19rIY4p9QaXZYisoc5y5xNmysoyNuR4xGm7JFTS5qBfLWWxYPZnkym8rKYiz0SxjqjUfYH6EuSkQY_fCrbC1-0/s1600/IMG_1696.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsmF8iGARlDr-FdyjfFTsRGEdmOz6maDfPvDEIv-Aprsstuj5IuQjlK19rIY4p9QaXZYisoc5y5xNmysoyNuR4xGm7JFTS5qBfLWWxYPZnkym8rKYiz0SxjqjUfYH6EuSkQY_fCrbC1-0/s1600/IMG_1696.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used a mustered color cardstock for the base and Doolebug Design sprinkles on the corners. And some chipboard stickers to top off the banners. I like how there are spots to write your own date and likes</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWoIY3R-HKhpqt0arse5cUmMyYW98iY49Bt6LK0lslE0woY2rcLCC6VZi5zFc7va7yCo_Xwl0YlYrD-dKv-QI1zu1vp7mZTulLC5WQ9Ou0SccF9SVCyfsQPrsRH6wyaQMqv3v8BAsyiKI/s1600/IMG_1690.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWoIY3R-HKhpqt0arse5cUmMyYW98iY49Bt6LK0lslE0woY2rcLCC6VZi5zFc7va7yCo_Xwl0YlYrD-dKv-QI1zu1vp7mZTulLC5WQ9Ou0SccF9SVCyfsQPrsRH6wyaQMqv3v8BAsyiKI/s1600/IMG_1690.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the inside I used Sizzix Pop-N-Cuts Wavy Label Die and circle punch the corners.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji_KkuV2OVOYemoMh9Zss3iHnSjuqtvlFzdjwLiZQQ6SlwRBRzu_HL8BlP_hPAmCsWBp6HzPKLBzXIxWbOOL5mHsPoNOBYL4yCDK8TSSS68QUn9QCX3HyuTcKpqQ0pqr0haa3eCzDtqXU/s1600/IMG_1691.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji_KkuV2OVOYemoMh9Zss3iHnSjuqtvlFzdjwLiZQQ6SlwRBRzu_HL8BlP_hPAmCsWBp6HzPKLBzXIxWbOOL5mHsPoNOBYL4yCDK8TSSS68QUn9QCX3HyuTcKpqQ0pqr0haa3eCzDtqXU/s1600/IMG_1691.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One of the tricks to adding layers is acetate. I cut small strips and scored at 1/2 inch and then stapled it to the top of the pop-up. Then adhered die-cuts to the acetate, it will look like the arrows are floating in the air.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-weight: normal;">I hope everyone had a nice valentines day. Here in Illinois we had an unexpected snow storm, so my husband and I decided to stay home. He grilled some New York strip steak, bottle of wine and some old moves on T.V. It was a simple valentines night that I love so much. It was a simple night that went hand and hand with my valentine cards. I did not want to share my cards tell after valentines day because I did not want my family to see the cards before I gave it to them. </span></h4>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidUgnakjL8qUenN0FlUD54f4D9Oidnk4r7EsUUrkqjbjXihg-N9wgmqHlVA8dLZfK1FPRYl204IHcdfZO99JkNHOYutUGUlQXq2KFgL2N8IL8wVYfLQijI69c2TgJuQiyAQjSGmGFShag/s1600/IMG_1674.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidUgnakjL8qUenN0FlUD54f4D9Oidnk4r7EsUUrkqjbjXihg-N9wgmqHlVA8dLZfK1FPRYl204IHcdfZO99JkNHOYutUGUlQXq2KFgL2N8IL8wVYfLQijI69c2TgJuQiyAQjSGmGFShag/s1600/IMG_1674.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">This first card is an A2 with red trim background cut at 4 X 5 1/4. The white layer is cut at 3 3/4 X 5. And is embossed with the cuttlebug heart folder. The stamps I used all the cards are from My Creative Time <a href="http://shop.my-creative-time.com/Lots-of-Love-Stamp-Set-MCT-097.htm" target="_blank">Lots of Love Stamp Set</a>. I love how the stamps have script and typed words. </span></h4>

<br />
<h4>
</h4>
<h4>
</h4>
<h4>
</h4>
<h4>
<ul>
<li> <span style="font-weight: normal;">For the next two cards I have the same measurements. I was digging through my valentine stash and found some stitched hearts. All I did was placed the hearts randomly on the card and stamped the sentiment.</span></li>
</ul>
</h4>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0njt20PHtxsv7AexExR-ZP0SMYSupUHE1ZqTimBMI8kzXLPEzgvB5ry8e1ulqeDvc41eVzI6AYRgxBG3ueUKi46KyRiO26sRI18PCCTxVfDvNHbLm9klw7c_72TalSIWksUqjz9zpuz0/s1600/IMG_1671.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0njt20PHtxsv7AexExR-ZP0SMYSupUHE1ZqTimBMI8kzXLPEzgvB5ry8e1ulqeDvc41eVzI6AYRgxBG3ueUKi46KyRiO26sRI18PCCTxVfDvNHbLm9klw7c_72TalSIWksUqjz9zpuz0/s1600/IMG_1671.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
This last card was so much fun to make. First I took double sided tape,cut it to look like banners. Then applied Elizabeth craft glitter and then colored in with Copic markers. The hearts are stamped with memento ink.</div>
<div>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">Now on to my next project. Thanks for reading and have a crafty day.</span></h4>

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08420409096278302732noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104329336813971644.post-50995048039056488112014-01-18T14:19:00.000-08:002014-01-18T14:19:20.083-08:00I have been working hard on my challenge. I might not have completed a project in a day but I did some creating everyday. And I would like to share with you what I have accomplished. If you remember I took some leftover scraps from past projects and I planed to use them up.<br />
<br />
This is my second card, the background was embossed paper that I brushed my ink pad over to highlight the embossed parts. The flower background was paper printed with a neutral black and gray design, and I colored it in with copic markers. If you have pattern paper don't be afraid to change it up by adding your own color. I usually like to add glitter to highlight points of interest. Next I layered some die cuts and put it together with a brad, then pop dot it to the card along with a pop dot sentiment. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4crJd_8s94vZRGxv7RIRQ9-uSKipqseeDw2e9wOEVuv1Pg8aAkSb2UUKCibqqqjkCuGxaMzFSNOWVNjEQSUrwoHSf2-_HtRPTYYS7_olhJMuBLivEh5OT3txQ_1w03FsV9OPUEnpXHNM/s1600/IMG_1643.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4crJd_8s94vZRGxv7RIRQ9-uSKipqseeDw2e9wOEVuv1Pg8aAkSb2UUKCibqqqjkCuGxaMzFSNOWVNjEQSUrwoHSf2-_HtRPTYYS7_olhJMuBLivEh5OT3txQ_1w03FsV9OPUEnpXHNM/s1600/IMG_1643.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I did two 12x12 layout with pattern paper. I made these layouts without any pictures in mind. I hope to find some that fit this color palette. With this layout I used some coordinating lace and ribbon that matched the color scheme. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdYpZRk7G0JT6yLRPQ9wcb7bZeIG4K7xbNS6lBwHAV8IL783sn4wHsiQSE0jpKJJC_2IyzrI8nqLEKc4N0s8h3wMyDxvPgMrGTR_ogxRUQI-jwlU_fenvdwVbyttg40BfbE60KY99-Zr4/s1600/IMG_1641.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdYpZRk7G0JT6yLRPQ9wcb7bZeIG4K7xbNS6lBwHAV8IL783sn4wHsiQSE0jpKJJC_2IyzrI8nqLEKc4N0s8h3wMyDxvPgMrGTR_ogxRUQI-jwlU_fenvdwVbyttg40BfbE60KY99-Zr4/s1600/IMG_1641.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added three rows of lace to the side of the mating then added hand punched butterfly's in the layers. On the bottom of the mating I added a chipboard word with brads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrMlYb_XYPjH5MEPtEszb11Hz_URAaVWeicOPp3qn5ukZnIJf8K1HNWK3m6h-c0yWB3HAqySvXybeA_UuphpbMBnZwosSBzlHi2ZDYj-9OAm2mjDZ6nugcR-9VaAbu8ukLCcrtamrNe48/s1600/IMG_1640.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrMlYb_XYPjH5MEPtEszb11Hz_URAaVWeicOPp3qn5ukZnIJf8K1HNWK3m6h-c0yWB3HAqySvXybeA_UuphpbMBnZwosSBzlHi2ZDYj-9OAm2mjDZ6nugcR-9VaAbu8ukLCcrtamrNe48/s1600/IMG_1640.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my favorite part. I had only one small piece of paper left, not enough for matting. so I made my own embellishment. I mitered the corners of the ribbon and adhered it to the front of the paper. Then I mitered the corners of the lace and adhered it to the back of the paper. Now for the inside you can put anything in it a small pic, ticket stub or you could do what I did. I found a fabric sticker in my stash that matched perfectly. then topped it off with some bakers twine and a brad. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLuCcFPDLmW8hI_1weYf38Wx-ru_TAFuKnFSbN-mR6QIF5WsvZfH_33KYHbAWSWpUy_-hMbENJVJTlmtwee_aW_TQzO5llEErMljbG73p2-jyBrUobZa6ccbm2FOFkD4yBOBO8g0ZVyfY/s1600/IMG_1639.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLuCcFPDLmW8hI_1weYf38Wx-ru_TAFuKnFSbN-mR6QIF5WsvZfH_33KYHbAWSWpUy_-hMbENJVJTlmtwee_aW_TQzO5llEErMljbG73p2-jyBrUobZa6ccbm2FOFkD4yBOBO8g0ZVyfY/s1600/IMG_1639.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last thing I did was hand punched out the butterfly two times and adhered it with pop dots and tied some bakers twine to make the body.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEir9fB60uJTaRto2Rguot5lS5xVD0XSZWi-BG4OcuD9GMjl8NrfK4Lp9xcFfkPwo63riur-oJm_WPWI9fu9T3iGCp6V1aRkWgEKtoCv6Byp_hyphenhyphenk1D63yfP0bZrVDopFyhVwjbMteIivlVQ/s1600/IMG_1641.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEir9fB60uJTaRto2Rguot5lS5xVD0XSZWi-BG4OcuD9GMjl8NrfK4Lp9xcFfkPwo63riur-oJm_WPWI9fu9T3iGCp6V1aRkWgEKtoCv6Byp_hyphenhyphenk1D63yfP0bZrVDopFyhVwjbMteIivlVQ/s1600/IMG_1641.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And this is my last layout. I had some paper flowers that came in a kit, and I never know what to do with them. They come flat in plain, not my idea of a flower. so I inked the edges and the next thing I did might shock you! I made paper balls out of them. After you unroll them you have a flower with dimension, then add a brad and wala you have some amazing flowers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD0eblh003AnEqp0iYks_Ohas07yq1WvKvMPoDasjDssX6-8bRyi3P5vdf0ZNFYmrnQ-TdwQ9HPZMFXPNkpc1AsyIgYBj4p8lix-gas5001MjaTYDD_ZXPEXYyuly4QnW1gsMtgKhB19U/s1600/IMG_1642.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD0eblh003AnEqp0iYks_Ohas07yq1WvKvMPoDasjDssX6-8bRyi3P5vdf0ZNFYmrnQ-TdwQ9HPZMFXPNkpc1AsyIgYBj4p8lix-gas5001MjaTYDD_ZXPEXYyuly4QnW1gsMtgKhB19U/s1600/IMG_1642.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you remember the all the paper I started out with? Well this is what's left. Not to bad, and ready to go in the garbage.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-weight: normal;">2013 has been a year of many changes for me. First I started this blog to share my love of crafting, then I started a new part-time job. And in August I started full-time. This gave me little time to craft or to blog. So I have made a new years resolution to leave work at work, and craft some every night. </span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">Some of the blogs that I follow have made a commitment to do a project a day with mapping of the projects for the month, so you could follow along and do the projects with them.</span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">I too have a plan to do a project a day but I will not have a set schedule. For Jan 1st my project was to clean my craft room :) </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOV4LdXKIpNNaBX3DFdGvdBf99v_Bfj3I1cd6KdPSozwLyjbV6Qq-bv-36_6rDhULUiIMYsAhNtO8xO0nRIIwi2gOobb8ar9RnRyRii_WTQJ16kbLM_wg3Alpd4RCpjiklTF-7VH08ql8/s1600/IMG_1635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOV4LdXKIpNNaBX3DFdGvdBf99v_Bfj3I1cd6KdPSozwLyjbV6Qq-bv-36_6rDhULUiIMYsAhNtO8xO0nRIIwi2gOobb8ar9RnRyRii_WTQJ16kbLM_wg3Alpd4RCpjiklTF-7VH08ql8/s320/IMG_1635.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQsjEbCkREc5buoriC3dVuFFQ1UKFQ_bzFGALsws2qMrQ3kExqoWDn0xeZXffQZmqumRol7rAIvwF_M7bvyhn-sO6L_jSEKWbioQsCTXIX6_Wo3My1kAqQ8kco1Hds6VSGQ03Z6g6M4x8/s1600/IMG_1637.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQsjEbCkREc5buoriC3dVuFFQ1UKFQ_bzFGALsws2qMrQ3kExqoWDn0xeZXffQZmqumRol7rAIvwF_M7bvyhn-sO6L_jSEKWbioQsCTXIX6_Wo3My1kAqQ8kco1Hds6VSGQ03Z6g6M4x8/s320/IMG_1637.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"> so in the process of cleaning I found my mission..... I am going to see how many projects I can do with all the products I have on hand. Similar to my posts on scraps I found Saturday. </span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">I will take a picture of some paper and embellishments, it might look like a hodgepodge but I will show you how to make some cards layouts and crafts with it. </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJlcvuRs3RDnmrDJ6VZDT6NuoE3E7emLVmr7gR8fRZEOa4h-bwLvPmSm3cno2tjMPHq3vVBj7hpcrOiXPMygN2Bn_UPYgOkGYLRLWBGO1k38gzeaSjGXcbkP0cgmT972hlYx_6Nm-is14/s1600/IMG_1636.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJlcvuRs3RDnmrDJ6VZDT6NuoE3E7emLVmr7gR8fRZEOa4h-bwLvPmSm3cno2tjMPHq3vVBj7hpcrOiXPMygN2Bn_UPYgOkGYLRLWBGO1k38gzeaSjGXcbkP0cgmT972hlYx_6Nm-is14/s320/IMG_1636.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
First sorry about the bad picture. I was so excited to start making something I just snapped a pic and started working. This is leftover paper from a layout I made of my nephew. The papers are rock-it ruby nature line and some authentique paper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4KYCHhHwoBIad848nmtaziPrfgp1Cab-nkApYq3IhFDBNz5GICCtRMDVRd0LepsJuntUXP6hM1zz874UBgE_zm1IPdnA_s3sFYMn8IXZ9UewlxPHbUmN-I9jlTRqmTFXJfv2g73-NTIQ/s1600/IMG_1638.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4KYCHhHwoBIad848nmtaziPrfgp1Cab-nkApYq3IhFDBNz5GICCtRMDVRd0LepsJuntUXP6hM1zz874UBgE_zm1IPdnA_s3sFYMn8IXZ9UewlxPHbUmN-I9jlTRqmTFXJfv2g73-NTIQ/s320/IMG_1638.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
So today Jan 2nd and my first real project is a card. The bird is on the nature paper line from rock-it ruby paper cut at 3x5, and the music paper in the background is cut at 4x5 and is on a card base of 4 1/4 x 4 1/5. I used copic markers to color in the bird and leaves. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: normal; text-align: center;">
Thanks for reading and have a crafty day.</div>

Today I am sharing with you a layout I made for the My Minds Eye Challenge. You can find MME blog <a href="http://mymindseye.typepad.com/blog/challenges/" target="_blank">here</a>. MME is one of my favorite paper companies. And because I have so much of their paper I thought I would try my hand at this months challenge.</h3>

<h3>
I used MMY washi tape on the left side, I thought the colors went well with the layout but It had one section with pink. So I just cut out the pink made a space and put a chip board embellishment in its place.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

On the right of this pic I used two different washi chevron taps cut in half and put back together. This is my nephew Trevor helping me color Easter eggs. Staying with the vintage theme, I decorated an antique spool with some ribbon and burlap. I found this spool at a garage sale for only $1 I had no idea what I was going to do with it but I knew I could not pass it up. </h3>
<h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnRlN3LSJkRdLEseeYqWH0qiwHfQKx-mau-HIEfOBbvWguXe1JvrYg-qHmsdBcCp93D1AbFPpdX14GJTBUNqUede3lEklcPXdUFFDz8cBl9krhDbuoVmf5-EHmsIVD7h3jws1EVNZsI28/s1600/IMG_1195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnRlN3LSJkRdLEseeYqWH0qiwHfQKx-mau-HIEfOBbvWguXe1JvrYg-qHmsdBcCp93D1AbFPpdX14GJTBUNqUede3lEklcPXdUFFDz8cBl9krhDbuoVmf5-EHmsIVD7h3jws1EVNZsI28/s320/IMG_1195.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First I took the Xyron Photo Mount Tape and placed it on the back of my ribbon. Then I cut the ribbon in three pieces to fit the bottom of the spool. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeyG9ya1jjxHfMcetGiL-63Dl6YLTD293k7mr7m79_vGZuh4nZTr202zLVKQCYOsP5URqNhWVhGpywWTQCnH7HGrJ27kCQWDqBFu_Hm8OaoVjx6rwotFVwFHK7vUzQ0KputS1rB9mCb_g/s1600/IMG_1202.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeyG9ya1jjxHfMcetGiL-63Dl6YLTD293k7mr7m79_vGZuh4nZTr202zLVKQCYOsP5URqNhWVhGpywWTQCnH7HGrJ27kCQWDqBFu_Hm8OaoVjx6rwotFVwFHK7vUzQ0KputS1rB9mCb_g/s320/IMG_1202.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I tied a bow with burlap and hot glued a fabric flower and a charm onto the bow. What I like about the Xyron adhesive on this project is that it's strong enough to hold everything in place for as long as I need it. But I can take it apart without damaging the antique spool. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTNTF5WPMQwyf7sIyZKtha23_TncTkke-nFKKyYI7hdLM39J2m6umhApl6qxG8evFXyFCICffJEJhSy74XhpA4DUQ-QkLjCvy9aP6Cdxu8rhAK2e3aoh6E3XMQvpVSuUkBmGoQ_El3Pa0/s1600/IMG_1210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTNTF5WPMQwyf7sIyZKtha23_TncTkke-nFKKyYI7hdLM39J2m6umhApl6qxG8evFXyFCICffJEJhSy74XhpA4DUQ-QkLjCvy9aP6Cdxu8rhAK2e3aoh6E3XMQvpVSuUkBmGoQ_El3Pa0/s320/IMG_1210.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then added a stick pin with some vintage pearls. My daughter told me it did not look like a Christmas decoration to her, with having a butterfly on it. I told her it was all about the presentation. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One last thing. I have to share with you my first craft tool I ever purchased. It was this hot glue gun. It is 22 years old and still works great. Although there are days I wish I had a cool temp gun.</div>

It's been a while since I last blogged. My part time job has turned in to a full time job for the summer. So by the time I get home it's hard to get into the crafting mood. </h3>
<h3>
As I was looking at other blogs this last week I was seeing a lot of Christmas in July projects and it gave me some motivation to get crafty. But first I had to clean my studio, and in the processes I came across all of my Xyron adhesives. So the inspiration hit me. I should share with you my love of Xyron and Vintage Christmas decorations.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioBHKj9PloG2u0yCih8Li0Qs0OQyykXI7sXhs7g90fEOMnCqAbqc1RtNhtTueFuCjsXQVrHt7j5p7ph4lHuEs6xLXLk4G_7h8uR_mZuW65z5knXRlbWiTvac_gCzx5MEUXTiKmntP-dW4/s1600/IMG_1181.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioBHKj9PloG2u0yCih8Li0Qs0OQyykXI7sXhs7g90fEOMnCqAbqc1RtNhtTueFuCjsXQVrHt7j5p7ph4lHuEs6xLXLk4G_7h8uR_mZuW65z5knXRlbWiTvac_gCzx5MEUXTiKmntP-dW4/s320/IMG_1181.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I am making a Christmas Box. I cut a strip of paper 1 1/2 in wide and long enough to go around the box. And once again I am using My Minds Eye, Lost and Found Two Paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcoa1IXBaZpqA4fU5saFN1oblJ2YSrIVv_l2mqap_lhhxO5z_wdUph1S-oM0xXrpsH0_mnFcV4K_SHjf2lT_Hwm1SEf7WtPq9J_BH_28rJdUpSuuUQGfBRDkIdNCDpbfnsHM8rNGpYQ-Y/s1600/IMG_1182.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcoa1IXBaZpqA4fU5saFN1oblJ2YSrIVv_l2mqap_lhhxO5z_wdUph1S-oM0xXrpsH0_mnFcV4K_SHjf2lT_Hwm1SEf7WtPq9J_BH_28rJdUpSuuUQGfBRDkIdNCDpbfnsHM8rNGpYQ-Y/s320/IMG_1182.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I ran the paper through the Xyron sticker maker. This will cover the entire back of the paper and will stay nice a snug on the round box.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6-rYWZLKshHbAnjvNH2YkumoooWF9mVOEJ-HM7y7bk1v-rfNjs3B1xIuU7qchv539fTspniXS1cYOek75UYDLAC5ZNf_HBCjFvBeZcvjqEHO4U0hdqWbXTPXXkx8Qu8_bMffbmk4_7mU/s1600/IMG_1184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6-rYWZLKshHbAnjvNH2YkumoooWF9mVOEJ-HM7y7bk1v-rfNjs3B1xIuU7qchv539fTspniXS1cYOek75UYDLAC5ZNf_HBCjFvBeZcvjqEHO4U0hdqWbXTPXXkx8Qu8_bMffbmk4_7mU/s320/IMG_1184.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I took my bone folder and burnished the edges of the paper. Then I pulled the plastic off and I just made a giant sticker.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY7qu4YR5GkGE9XvZRH5ioQ779C9isfI1XiKChai-YVdidGRw_v38S6Cvsq3eg0Murtzd0iBy4-1pgR1JPYMjbvihCre8utbKF74-n9PyUq-GVRu6eMNvLDuSndbt_NCDwE4UHXhiVZ0M/s1600/IMG_1186.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY7qu4YR5GkGE9XvZRH5ioQ779C9isfI1XiKChai-YVdidGRw_v38S6Cvsq3eg0Murtzd0iBy4-1pgR1JPYMjbvihCre8utbKF74-n9PyUq-GVRu6eMNvLDuSndbt_NCDwE4UHXhiVZ0M/s320/IMG_1186.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did the same processes for the felt ribbon, and put it around the lid of the box.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWdmUI_wY4sSSNWdP799MtSqc2JO3_kzDXsWGyWsf4Qudi90OtqaFXJE159zWU86MOyC4Bd-iww-QJ1RhdNVymZbPmQwTMROinkXt22J4CiEaASRlA3MlHXNNpOQZG9mIEl05TIDsFMxU/s1600/IMG_1187.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWdmUI_wY4sSSNWdP799MtSqc2JO3_kzDXsWGyWsf4Qudi90OtqaFXJE159zWU86MOyC4Bd-iww-QJ1RhdNVymZbPmQwTMROinkXt22J4CiEaASRlA3MlHXNNpOQZG9mIEl05TIDsFMxU/s320/IMG_1187.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I punched a circle for the top of the lid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7amaw8WlMVM9TXsPq4832LDuJGqMFwHYeXQn0sO51nuyUKg3qbZbP9ulXKyLB1BjBtNpUGKk46xfEt0IaS2ucViZRq212sy4DKMl_X_lN-j_UTVO0GFs4Qg2LtYZD1kYHY25CAYGB830/s1600/IMG_1188.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7amaw8WlMVM9TXsPq4832LDuJGqMFwHYeXQn0sO51nuyUKg3qbZbP9ulXKyLB1BjBtNpUGKk46xfEt0IaS2ucViZRq212sy4DKMl_X_lN-j_UTVO0GFs4Qg2LtYZD1kYHY25CAYGB830/s320/IMG_1188.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There was a small space so I ran the rope through the sticker maker. This is so much easier than using wet glue. I used red for the pictures because it shows up better. But I really like the off white for a more vintage look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am not done with it I still would like to make a bow under the tree but I don't have the right ribbon. And I would like to hot glue some pearls on the tree.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This picture doesn't do it justice but I painted the ends of the branches with Glue-N-Seal then put dry glitter Clear Rock Candy on the glue. In real life it looks like icicles on the tree. </div>

I have been trying to share this project with you for several days but the sun has not been cooperating. So when I woke up this morning and saw the sun I jumped out of bed and started taking pictures. My kitchen is on the north side of the house so the lighting is not that great even with the sun out.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipt-WICoDGM7VwEQIxZ3NgEvHBcYYVNSDt6XHzFbqlYwkwZTVWktW2BEaisSy4GfevV7z1X0Zu2e1Qx5yxoj5QNFjWwH5B4t43kyTOkClICq8GpN6mpm2HJJN_ja4C5TPRMgmikqM0Hqo/s1600/IMG_1170.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipt-WICoDGM7VwEQIxZ3NgEvHBcYYVNSDt6XHzFbqlYwkwZTVWktW2BEaisSy4GfevV7z1X0Zu2e1Qx5yxoj5QNFjWwH5B4t43kyTOkClICq8GpN6mpm2HJJN_ja4C5TPRMgmikqM0Hqo/s400/IMG_1170.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started this banner with the star shaped chipboard books from the dollar bin at Micheals. I painted them using Tim Holtz picket fence distressed paint. And when dry I used the distressed ink brick red and stormy sky. Then I inked the edges with vintage photo and did a quick swipe over the whole star to give is a vintage look,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<h3>
Next I used my Cricut and the Ribbons and Rosettes cart to make the star shaped rosette. I used some old paper that I have know idea where I got it but I thought it matched the BoBunny Anthem paper. Then I used the Sizzix large rosette die to cut the BoBunny paper.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was going to spell out July 4Th on the stars but when I saw the BoBunny Trinkets I knew they had to go on instead.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMgIQJ7FOQoy9OBnvvh0y24UO7d8qZXq6nhd8xWzIGjIQCsCU_CX9rhBtjOJeplYDR-_t-qrUR2m1D2ZbnxJloEbWILed2jNxoFepCVmO0qofYksajHHkj-dQxusZQbDaZhpkoWPyEkg/s1600/IMG_1148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMgIQJ7FOQoy9OBnvvh0y24UO7d8qZXq6nhd8xWzIGjIQCsCU_CX9rhBtjOJeplYDR-_t-qrUR2m1D2ZbnxJloEbWILed2jNxoFepCVmO0qofYksajHHkj-dQxusZQbDaZhpkoWPyEkg/s320/IMG_1148.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think this made this project complete.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkQaGjQCclq9RWO-xx8ImfA5m8ro5tYdAO8zrqS9pVVKVWieLSFHGpikyF2rEXCIgWCkEc2a5RhixAeA23ZF1rZdYK5ONNWP7dDXQSJSFiTenN_MnxJocQwaK0ARfCfiGQ7so4dcGi7-4/s1600/IMG_1151.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkQaGjQCclq9RWO-xx8ImfA5m8ro5tYdAO8zrqS9pVVKVWieLSFHGpikyF2rEXCIgWCkEc2a5RhixAeA23ZF1rZdYK5ONNWP7dDXQSJSFiTenN_MnxJocQwaK0ARfCfiGQ7so4dcGi7-4/s320/IMG_1151.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally I used the Sizzix framleits swirl die to make embellishments for my stars.</div>

<br />
<br />
Today I would like to share with you a layout I made using only BoBunny paper and embellishments.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi946vUVaIPG-4_R9oCDxYguhNt4c31iNtI5V0tSk78x_zj50Y6_LfEddMSL9VxCSL0qXetEu9Xq7KC9fJaDXYuLRd2VuNmYU44qjyYheHOGGlORaFCwrYvOmEJs2FLOJuFt190oOMWZnM/s1600/IMG_1122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi946vUVaIPG-4_R9oCDxYguhNt4c31iNtI5V0tSk78x_zj50Y6_LfEddMSL9VxCSL0qXetEu9Xq7KC9fJaDXYuLRd2VuNmYU44qjyYheHOGGlORaFCwrYvOmEJs2FLOJuFt190oOMWZnM/s320/IMG_1122.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used distressed stains with gems to make fireworks. The clouds are made with the Sizzix cloud die, and then I distressed the edges. This gave the clouds a soft look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIcmAXlfvhYgp-3eTMKdppcYQYvpAKBJAZ0aXVFo8sljj-PfTihI6r1QmXY4dBrKtw4vaktCbNs4mJ9IqVbqMErkHyGuEdPBbN5CIyEw1AVPZi1U9T1yr2zs05NIH97_9SRK9PEc9FHOI/s1600/IMG_1120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIcmAXlfvhYgp-3eTMKdppcYQYvpAKBJAZ0aXVFo8sljj-PfTihI6r1QmXY4dBrKtw4vaktCbNs4mJ9IqVbqMErkHyGuEdPBbN5CIyEw1AVPZi1U9T1yr2zs05NIH97_9SRK9PEc9FHOI/s320/IMG_1120.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made the balloon from the Cricut Everyday Pop Up Card Cart. It was cut at 21/2 in. And pop dot to make it look like it is floating. And I did the same with some of the clouds that are in the background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the flourishes to make it look like it is tethering the balloon to the ground.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
If you like to see the full layout and live in central IL, come to the Paper Forest in Washington IL. I have entered this layout in their BoBunny Challenge. And if you like give it a vote!<br />
For those of you that live out of the area you can go to my instagram link to see a picture.<br />
<br />
Thank you for reading and have a crafty day. Kristi<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h4>
First I would like to say that my dad is 83 not 84 like I put in his card.</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3jCFNk0TSFEO57ec_b2eLGOHM7wHCX4e48OWZ7YZTjgUn0QdZvp956ZbnNdNfXJm4IOFddlhuq9xu3Gkg1l6EMbOxQ3NOqKdWBfRLc35dSKgJoaid0w2evdIwSOXJWyNyYv8eGfv2Rys/s1600/IMG_1095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3jCFNk0TSFEO57ec_b2eLGOHM7wHCX4e48OWZ7YZTjgUn0QdZvp956ZbnNdNfXJm4IOFddlhuq9xu3Gkg1l6EMbOxQ3NOqKdWBfRLc35dSKgJoaid0w2evdIwSOXJWyNyYv8eGfv2Rys/s320/IMG_1095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used MME Lost and Found 2 for the inside of this card. And Karen Burniston Pop-in-Cut Die. The clouds are made with sizzix cloud die, and the hot air balloon (dad thought it was a Christmas ornament) was made with Everyday Pop-Up cards (cricut cart). The mustache tape is from Teresa Collins He Said She Said line. And the cupcake and 84 stickers are from Authentique.</div>

I tried to make a spinner card to make the hot air balloon look like it was floating away. You can find the directions to make this <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxGaC16BIFY" target="_blank">HERE</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwXuGbMIwQH0QufdFmX4Dp0R8yGNVK47sFdhcCEKyUP3O9yK4taaZ-vAAnDDBfreXhokSXeMwGCEJWRIH_mOoOchC27kAgEINWOzW4xhbVqjSxV4ttWvMRacyHhT-tsFST3mprYazOhvo/s1600/IMG_1093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwXuGbMIwQH0QufdFmX4Dp0R8yGNVK47sFdhcCEKyUP3O9yK4taaZ-vAAnDDBfreXhokSXeMwGCEJWRIH_mOoOchC27kAgEINWOzW4xhbVqjSxV4ttWvMRacyHhT-tsFST3mprYazOhvo/s320/IMG_1093.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My balloon did not float vary well, I think I made it backwards, but I did get it to float. Karen makes everything look so easy. I'll have to give it another try. At a later date!</div>

Today's card is full of all the new trends. It has Washi Tape, Trendy Twine, Chalkboard Art, Banners, Chevrons and of course Sizzix Pop-in-Cut. This card was for my dad's 83rd birthday, so I pulled out all the stops.</h3>
<h3>
I started the base of the card with black card stock and the rest of the paper is from MME "Lost in Found 2". I love this paper collection, I have had it for some time but could not bring myself to use it. It has a nice vintage look to it, just fitting for my dad :) </h3>
<h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkus2JpnhPN2Zd1MXj72p02HMcWl1g83SJ6ycr285pt9G6e8_3cWF-wEdmAyxSoTZXHh3nX0xM0sI3nqvHoFHK7gDo6OeWfFZWrumSd2N_xo3GUq2jEmublUFZGPwBD5zOPEznvjX5S50/s1600/IMG_1086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkus2JpnhPN2Zd1MXj72p02HMcWl1g83SJ6ycr285pt9G6e8_3cWF-wEdmAyxSoTZXHh3nX0xM0sI3nqvHoFHK7gDo6OeWfFZWrumSd2N_xo3GUq2jEmublUFZGPwBD5zOPEznvjX5S50/s320/IMG_1086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the Sizzix chevron die to cut a mask. then used Broken China and Picket fence Distress Paint, to make a chevron pattern.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the On the Edge die for the front of the card.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I used the Sizzix banner die and broken china paint.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used picket fence for the stamp and some clear embossing powder. Then I fussy cut and pop dot it to the front of the card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finished the banner with more MME paper and clear stickers. Then added some Wahsi Tape mustaches and tied a banner with some Trendy Twin to the bike.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I did a lot of work out side this last weekend, and not much scrapping. So I thought I would share with you what I did make. Last summer I attached some wire planters to my deck. You know the kind with the tightly woven straw that holds in the dirt. Well this is what mine looked like after the birds got-a-hold of it this spring.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKSO4D_G8v1LoRmHLv0DITQvMT71yCgevgF-UqCpEt9Rc4Xinq6gw5LDeciv8SOcuq5rN5f4RohYxuhyBej1btopeIkByV3jFCD4D8hmP6NDn-VQYFbeQszlVy4v4K_LkJoCu1kCZWg30/s1600/IMG_1060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKSO4D_G8v1LoRmHLv0DITQvMT71yCgevgF-UqCpEt9Rc4Xinq6gw5LDeciv8SOcuq5rN5f4RohYxuhyBej1btopeIkByV3jFCD4D8hmP6NDn-VQYFbeQszlVy4v4K_LkJoCu1kCZWg30/s320/IMG_1060.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After spending some time on Pinterest I found this site that shows you how to replace your straw or coco mats with burlap. You can find that site <a href="http://littlebitsandpiecesoflife.wordpress.com/2013/05/09/burlap-plant-liners/" target="_blank">Here</a>. Because my wire basket was such an odd shape I couldn't find anything to fit, so this was perfect for me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfLS3_GysANFsbS2eezPGnOkatL4B_32emM9PEDzXbs1YwyOsQ76ET-LSrNeHIsYKz8aAAOwD9D68Lyp0ItU2lAztPkx2RXYf-lZd9BbRkqvZyKIDH8RZR0sedRvEC7jsB4MPROLbOeyU/s1600/IMG_1061.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfLS3_GysANFsbS2eezPGnOkatL4B_32emM9PEDzXbs1YwyOsQ76ET-LSrNeHIsYKz8aAAOwD9D68Lyp0ItU2lAztPkx2RXYf-lZd9BbRkqvZyKIDH8RZR0sedRvEC7jsB4MPROLbOeyU/s320/IMG_1061.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I purchased one yard of burlap at Wall-Mart for $2.95. This burlap is not a tightly woven burlap, so I decided to line it with the leftover straw. If you don't have this I recommend you line yours with a paper bag so you won't lose dirt when watering.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZq80A2NfriYRSvtoPrtweHi-Fai2qy2ium9-MHBdPh_HaC65ziAuk1ZC26hO3xDUXFuSQah4OVa6O4QnClSnVZIC32TwRKb4O7bHV9bJNr0808JvolbqKCfT6USW96YOCZ-wMUTsM5gI/s1600/IMG_1062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZq80A2NfriYRSvtoPrtweHi-Fai2qy2ium9-MHBdPh_HaC65ziAuk1ZC26hO3xDUXFuSQah4OVa6O4QnClSnVZIC32TwRKb4O7bHV9bJNr0808JvolbqKCfT6USW96YOCZ-wMUTsM5gI/s320/IMG_1062.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_229688793"></span><span id="goog_229688794"></span> This is the end result and it worked out great, I'll have to keep you updated with pictures this summer.</h4>

I hope everyone is having a happy mothers day. I finally finished my mothers day presents for my mother and mother-in-law. The soap turned out wonderful. The packaging was another story. I tried to stamp flowers with alcohol ink, it worked but it was too light. So I just used Trendy Twine and some Washi Tape.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-7GgWOokMfZF4h-44NVTelxTNY6tf0KK9vmYwmlZz9ISKcbxuX_Fyzzm1_vm3BA3adYoOCPbvZHyez8sf244O6dcXL36ct9w-JxER8YsiouuyHDvSow7vxd3HlVtT1yvd0T55IBAxLvM/s1600/IMG_0825.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-7GgWOokMfZF4h-44NVTelxTNY6tf0KK9vmYwmlZz9ISKcbxuX_Fyzzm1_vm3BA3adYoOCPbvZHyez8sf244O6dcXL36ct9w-JxER8YsiouuyHDvSow7vxd3HlVtT1yvd0T55IBAxLvM/s320/IMG_0825.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Washi Tape will not stick to the parchment paper but will stick to itself. </div>

Today's post is not scrapbook related but is crafty all the same. I have been working on two projects this week. First is Mothers Day and the second is for my daughter Lauren. </h3>
<h3>
Thanks to Pintrest I decided to make Lemon Soap for our mothers, and It was so easy. I am not going to post how to pics, because you can find it all on Pintrest. Just search homemade lemon soap.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjylaKepeFKF8MLX6a9xomotEquGO-fqUvhgYeoD3T6hExVzZZgsA8lodGr_USOiVAkS_XuezYNV8YP0tVT6wrpLBoCsK6wAL4hjelyItGSMhHyYKkfaUxl-MubyG2UU7YSB1cYb_JOH58/s1600/IMG_0821.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjylaKepeFKF8MLX6a9xomotEquGO-fqUvhgYeoD3T6hExVzZZgsA8lodGr_USOiVAkS_XuezYNV8YP0tVT6wrpLBoCsK6wAL4hjelyItGSMhHyYKkfaUxl-MubyG2UU7YSB1cYb_JOH58/s320/IMG_0821.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This soap smells so good!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And looks pretty too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will post pics and how to make a parchment paper for the gift package later this week.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next is all about Lauren!!!! She has been doing so well in school this year so I wanted to do something special for her. I made her a necklace with my scraps from the Authentique paper line "Grace"</div>

Today I have made two cards, one card is a Mothers Day card and the other is a encouragement card. I have used Carta Bella Paper Line "So Noted" and Sizzix Dies for both cards. First I would like to talk about the Carta Bella Paper. This paper line is new to me and I just love it! It is a heavy textured paper that is good for crafting, not just scrapbooking. And with one quick fold you have a sturdy card.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwRRwBszud_9GeyEXN5dZIHbCdunowuqOixE1ApSdO2pcqi45fsW0C9Cc4ristITJpP2c0Jtj6CM-d26G2b-TekjKS9uKCpoSFRjZNMIlOKWHAbCI3lcHgzC_kEWTuC_xOsh_BT7uXsTA/s1600/IMG_0808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwRRwBszud_9GeyEXN5dZIHbCdunowuqOixE1ApSdO2pcqi45fsW0C9Cc4ristITJpP2c0Jtj6CM-d26G2b-TekjKS9uKCpoSFRjZNMIlOKWHAbCI3lcHgzC_kEWTuC_xOsh_BT7uXsTA/s320/IMG_0808.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
</h3>
<h4>
With Carta Bella (and with most paper lines) you can get a sheet of coordinating die cuts and stickers. this makes card making vary simple.</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUX6HmN5_Hw2GUYkHoRBzUZSZdsTepNbBigHuc57t9z4WRfxlftt7yx0eaI7Cy72jBfnVw5b4qpe6GiDIMwEhhw0xgGHgSN4_ecBpf5wQgOIf8zeM_NEcbZshX0SUmbJpbnT9PhFYwBWs/s1600/IMG_0806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUX6HmN5_Hw2GUYkHoRBzUZSZdsTepNbBigHuc57t9z4WRfxlftt7yx0eaI7Cy72jBfnVw5b4qpe6GiDIMwEhhw0xgGHgSN4_ecBpf5wQgOIf8zeM_NEcbZshX0SUmbJpbnT9PhFYwBWs/s320/IMG_0806.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<h4>
This encouragement card is made with using just paper and the die cut stickers.</h4>

<h3>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">First I cut my card at 41/2 x 12 and I used Tim Holtz Plaque & Postage On The Edge Die to cut the edge. Then I scored the card 4" and 8".</span></h3>

<h3>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">On the left side fold I used Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Photo Corners, Baroque. And this gave the card a perfect closer.</span></h3>

Today I would like to show how to make a nice layout with paper that has built-in embellishments.</h3>
<h3>
when I am in need of a quick layout I like to use My Minds Eye Paper, Lost and Found Two.</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivO4xwZ_udF_kUKqVj8eObYxitmBNm6Ds0KUBlTUgE4I6yNhOs2OoKYT-rUiTYZqd-vmWStTjS1f5v6Ib-zuorleC1D49KMWXsHPZPB1JMS3aVJX4FORNuPRmcvh6G4EeoyOxCRogCflI/s1600/IMG_0738.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivO4xwZ_udF_kUKqVj8eObYxitmBNm6Ds0KUBlTUgE4I6yNhOs2OoKYT-rUiTYZqd-vmWStTjS1f5v6Ib-zuorleC1D49KMWXsHPZPB1JMS3aVJX4FORNuPRmcvh6G4EeoyOxCRogCflI/s320/IMG_0738.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

I can't believe I let a week go by without posting! It has been a busy week, getting ready for Easter and I started back to work. It is going to take awhile to get back in the grove of things. I needed to do some Easter bags for the kids, yes they are 18 and 16 but they still expect something. I saw this idea on pintrest and I thought I had the perfect Peachy Keen Stamp for the face but I could not find the stamp so I did some free hand drawing.</h3>

Good Day!! I have had a busy week and did not make anything new, but I have a project that I made while cleaning up my craft room. And yes it is another minni album. And used the Spring Cricut Cart for the word spring.</h3>

Good Morning today I have made the front and back cover of a mini album. I used Heidi Swapp's new wooden album covers. She is having a challenge on instagram, and the winner will get her<span style="background-color: white;"> line of Color Shine. My instagram name is @undercover_sc.</span></h3>
<h3 class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIkEioSEtwAry3r6W9HdjGe-1BeGfKUS_28V0T48CMnx8HUXtVs5EsZmmJehtZ3q7mP_qB1fJIJdtAPDpiQ4VzMWOiwVaCBHXpJ8DzSOXVj3XiBHmUFcQx-nYTD3AcSP18zufU1wekJgk/s1600/IMG_0636.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIkEioSEtwAry3r6W9HdjGe-1BeGfKUS_28V0T48CMnx8HUXtVs5EsZmmJehtZ3q7mP_qB1fJIJdtAPDpiQ4VzMWOiwVaCBHXpJ8DzSOXVj3XiBHmUFcQx-nYTD3AcSP18zufU1wekJgk/s320/IMG_0636.JPG" width="213" /></a></h3>
<h3 class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used Tim Holtz Distressed Paint and Stain to distressed the front and back panels. The front panel has a fabric style covering. So I needed to use my Glimmer mist to make the paint and stain more pliable. H.S. Color Shine would work great with this but I don't have any.</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_eeoicaXYI9EfDbKcqmU_1MyL2V68uFiH9B0sOEEK-EJiyOoFNCdmhvcbzUBnALgAtRM-AMxwlSAnksEAKgQp4tgRJoItSD-6vdTovJl_USIPEsQPn5aubN5lKwTCkIHpv35IL3Py-Rs/s1600/IMG_0637.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_eeoicaXYI9EfDbKcqmU_1MyL2V68uFiH9B0sOEEK-EJiyOoFNCdmhvcbzUBnALgAtRM-AMxwlSAnksEAKgQp4tgRJoItSD-6vdTovJl_USIPEsQPn5aubN5lKwTCkIHpv35IL3Py-Rs/s320/IMG_0637.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<h3 class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the inside of the panels. This is more of a wood grain. The Glimmer Mist gives it a nice sparkle.</h3>

<h3 class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I took a wood tag and distressed it.</h3>
